Something strange happened to my original review which was submitted at the end of episode 5 but strangely disappeared like one of Gill Bigelow’s redacted files. I originally awarded the show one star for the reason that the plot was too convoluted and plastered with rapid-fire acronyms and over-zealous statutory references. Nevertheless by a strange twist of fate, much like the series itself, I have had a change of mind. In light of the evidence presented in the last episode, I concur that most of the confusion was untangled, summing up into a formidable albeit ambiguous conclusion. I therefore change my verdict to four stars. I have deducted one star for over-stretching credibility. So consider this a final written warning Line of Duty production team. I don’t want to hear OCG, AFO, ACC, R2D2 or C3PO every two minutes in Series 6 or by Jayzus Mary n’ Joseph we’ll definately be sucking on diesel.

Keeping this review very short, it’s the best show on British television and probably of all time, that could be debated by others however there is no debating that it’s the best British Cop Drama on TV and the only show that might be able to match it is Happy Valley. If you haven’t watched this show your missing out on a show which will go down in the history books of television forever. 🚔🚨

A complex plot by numbers amounting to "How many potential double crossings can you keep in mind?" let's it down as do the cliched postures and relentless show offy ACRONYMS. Beaten by the excellent truly original and beautifully acted Tin Star which binds Jekyll&Hyde undercover cop's family life, revenge from his past by organised crime, organised religion and the deaths of children with no plot by numbers.
  • Must watch 😃😃😃
