Star Trek: Voyager, The Complete Series

So I am aware that people don’t rate VOY but they are deluded. This show is the closest to what Gene Roddenberry would have wanted from future Trek, the casting was flawless the sfx flawless the stories all flawless the writing flawless. The cast is a family just like the crew is, they all feel like an extended family As I feel I know them all so well which is down to the incredible production team. Janeway is the best Captain she really cared about her crew and the aliens they met along the journey. The ship is the best looking ship and it’s strong. I cannot except any negativity towards this show as for me I could and have watched this a thousand times and a thousand times more. I had to purchase the entire series as it’s the best show I have ever watched and nothing can come close.

I think it’s the best series some episodes are very dark and go way further than DS9 or NG ! The series wasn’t filmed in HD or 4K and cannot be upgraded I watched a documentary on this which is a real shame as some of the visuals are beautiful and would have looked great in high def ! I think it was only digital from mid way through the series and you can notice a difference from series 4 onwards ! Very annoying but Netflix have it so for their monthly fee you can watch it in crappy 4:3 but it looks sharp enough I think ?

I will not be purchasing this complete series until it is in HD. The price would also need to be reasonable. It should be cheaper than the physical box set, as it is in Digital format and there is no packaging to be taken into account.

Loved the show. Like TNG and DS9 it took a couple seasons to establish itself before great stories appeared. It looses a star just for character of Neelix Wish people would stop complaining about ITunes not making it available on HD as it’s Paramount who have decided due to poor sales of TNG and Enterprise on blu ray that they will NOT upscale DS9 and Voyager Updated Xmas 2019, please note whats been said above and stop asking when HD will be available. It Will NEVER be availabke due to cost involved and lack of returns on when previous shows have been upscaled Also if it’s not getting HD upgrade there no chance of a 4K release

I don’t care what format the show was filmed in ‘What we left behind’ shows some excellent upscale scenes from DS9. I don’t see why the studio can’t do the same for this show or DS9. Upscale DS9 and Voyager and I will buy them otherwise it’s a no from me and lot of fans out there.

But I believe this was shot in video not film so it cannot be scanned higher and of course means all effects are around the same 480 resolutions level may be could be upscaled a little but not much TNG by contrast was shot in film so hd is great ! FYI ? Please comment my best guess?

How much longer do we have to wait for Voyager & Deep Space Nine to be released in HD/4K ? Apple, can you add some sort of an alert system “ part of the wish list for instance ” that would alert customers when HD/4K is available please ? That would save a lot of time !

Voyager - the greatest Star Trek series that almost never was. Hated by US audiences so much they canned it. Almost as hated as Enterprise. The fools. Such a shame Apple has taped this off of VHS and then had the guile to put a £50 price tag on. When will Apple stop hating its customers? PC and Samsung are starting to look a lot more attractive to me these days.

Like The_Happy_Gardener, Voyager is my favourite of the Star Trek series but I refuse to buy some poor quality SD version. This is entirely the fault of the publishers rather than iTunes, but I wish Apple would block SD-only additions to the store as it is infuriating to see favourite shows finally appear on here but only available in SD. 5* show, 1* product for going into 2019.

It’s the best spin off from the StarTrek universe and I bought this thinking it would be fantastic to see it all again at my leisure. Turned it on and it looked appalling on a 4K LCD TV. It has no deep black of space, more a mottled grey, and it’s virtually unplayable. The Next Generation is fully restored, why not this and DS9? Your charging as much for it as you would a HD series. That’s seriously unfair and nowhere are there warnings that could easily pop up and inform people before they make an expensive mistake. It’s a pity as I love Voyager. Very much. But this? This is unwatchable unless you’re on an iPad or iPhone.
