Laughter track burned-in and cropped to 16:9. My advice: buy the DVDs instead.

I add my voice to the chorus of reviewers who wish there was an option to mute the laugh track, like the DVD release. It seems like this should be technically possible. I’m sure this would encourage more people to buy this boxset, which has a technically superior visual quality to the DVD release. Apple: please make this happen.

The UK English audio has been removed from this version along with every other languge leaving ony the US english audio version. Everyone should write to 20 century fox to have the various audio versions restored. Downgraded from 5 star to 2 due to not being able to turn off the laugh track. I grew up watching M*A*S*H on BBC 2 which was broadcast without the laugh track and on the DVD the laugh track can be switched off. So 20th Century fox can you please update the sries to include the option to select the non laugh track version as available on your DVD.

Lucky I read the reviews. M*A*S*H is my favourite TV show of all time. I would have bought this. But not with the awful canned laughter track. I'll stick with the DVDs.

I was just about to buy but looked at reviews about canned laughter, I previewed an episode to see if it’s been removed - unfortunately not. Another purchase lost Apple. Congratulations.

The HD picture quality is a joy, but that joy is rapidly turned to misery by the laugh track. This show was never broadcast with a laugh track in the UK, and to any UK viewer it destroys the essential character of the programme. The DVDs allow one to choose which audio to use, and Apple need to get the studio to provide the non-laugh-track audio as an option here too.

Would be a certain purchase if the series was available without the canned laughter.

it's a good job I read the reviews before I purchased this for my parents. They have the DVD's of MASH already but their DVD player is on its last legs so I thought it would be nice to get them a digital copy which they can watch on their AppleTV. But an enforced cannned laughter track makes any comedy unfunny and also becomes very annoying within minutes. There should be a better warning this has canned laighter because if I had purchased this I would have been asking for a refund. The UK DVD doesnt have canned laughter so why shoud this. Something is either funny or its not, you dont need a laughter track to prompt you to find it funny. If you do then you might a bigger issues.

Would certainly have bought this - but not with the laughter track.

Love MASH since was a teenager but there is nothing more annoying than fake laughter. Was really pleased when first saw this but after reading the reviews will wait in the hope they will change this.
