Description

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show 'Skylark Tonight.' When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the most unlikely candidates, to 'take out' Kim Jong-un.

Beneath all the hype and controversy, lies a tedious and boring one-trick pony that is nothing more than a disappointing and clumsy attempt at making an edgy comedy.

A genuinely stupid toilet humour movie. If Kim Jong-un had his guys hack into Sony it was only because he likes Hollywood movies and thought that that as Supreme Leader he had to do something to save Hollywood from itself. This film is a pile of silliness built, perhaps, on a clever premise that failed to deliver IMHO. Not worth the money, or more importantly, the time.

I had a headache and couldn’t watch the whole film, without hearing the F word every minute or even seconds… Its like watching a film, thats a song called F-word.

You don't actually expect much from a Seth Rogan film normally (drink and drug references, lots of shouting and swearing) and on this level you won't be disappointed. From a cynical point of view, would the movie have been of interest if not for the global hype, I suspect not. I actually got bored of this rather long and drawn out single joke movie and ended up holding down the fast forward through two thirds of it. Long, tedious, only slightly amusing in places and dull. Can I recommend it, not at all. Save your money for something better.

Absolutely hilarious film, I laughed at least every 5 minutes throughout the whole thing, Seth Rogan was as funny as he always is, and I was surprised to be laughing so much at an actor that I have only seen in quite serious films or Spider-Man. Dave Franco is genuinely hilarious and plays his character exceptionally. Definitely worth a watch, I would even buy it and watch it again!

I didn't enjoy this one. It was silly and forced humour.
