Reasonably entertaining

This is one of those movies that grows on you, getting better the more times you watch it. It does help if you appreciate the real game of Roulette and the thrill of playing. This is not a Masterpiece by any stretch but at the same time it's not the worst film ever either. Ignore the one-star reviews... Make up your own mind.
Not action packed

This is actually a good film, I was expecting some action as Wahlberg’s usual fair, but it was slower than expected but that didn’t detract from the film because as I quickly realised this wasn’t one of those films, it was a study on the psyche of someone who had it all but couldn’t live with the expectations. Very good.
Watched it on a plane, but won’t be buying

OK as far as the action went, but the character just didn’t seem to care, acted really stupidly and didn’t learn or grow one iota. After the first few minutes, I wanted to slap him round the face, hard, and shout at him to stow the self-pity and man up.
By the end, I still wanted to, only harder and louder.
Do not lose your time watching this

Poorly shot, bad dialogue which tries to be too clever, not a good flow to the plot. I felt frustrated by it after the first 10 minutes - a bad film which knows it is bad is ok - this tries to be arty and fails dramatically. Mark Wahlberg should stick to Ted.
great snappy, meaningful dialogue...
