A brilliant, touching but also humorous film that should be played in every school to save future generations from 'hating' Shakespeare. The funny road trips parts, conversations with real normal people and inspring words from legends like Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen make it a must see!

I admit that I was pretty afraid of Shakespeare until I saw this documentary. Captivating and entertaining, it completely demystified Shakespeare and broke down any barriers that were previously holding me back. Thank you so much for doing this!

I disliked Shakespeare as a kid but bing a lover of some of the talent in this movie and given the feedback already I decided to watch it. I’m compelled to say you changed my mind, very very cool structure to work with Shakespeare. Still not sure what I would read first but I will def start with Baz’s ‘R & J’ and take it from there. Thanks a lot and hope you make many more docs. What’s next?

An accessible, fascinating and charming film. Our two actors/documentary filmmakers are the perfect guides through the constellation of stars who turn up in this movie. You will genuinely be blown away by the amazing collection of talent who share their fears/loves and knowledge of the bard. Oh and it will please Starwars geeks too. LOVED IT!

Having struggled with Shakespeare on the few occasions I've seen any, I expected to last only 10 or 15 minutes with this doco. But I was half way through i realised I couldn't not see it to the end. I doubt a more A List of A List actors has ever been assembled outside an Oscar ceremony, and if this doesn't get nominated for Best Documentary, the Academy could do worse than talk to Gandalf or Obi Wan or M or Gandhi or Alfie or Darth Vader or ...

A really great film! Not just for those who love Shakespeare; touching, funny and full of fantastic interviews. The story follows the two filmmakers (Dan and Giles) as they try to get to grips with just how they feel about Shakespeare. Featuring interviews from just about anyone you’ve ever heard of in connection with Shakespeare and a whole bunch of people you may not have heard of before, but will be pleased you have now. If that sounds a bit much, don’t be put off; the film centres on Giles and Dan’s relationships and what it all means to them. Part buddy movie, part travelogue, always engaging. This really is a great movie, independent story telling at its best. Highly recommended.

Downloaded it yesterday and have watched it twice already. Such an incredible cast and what an achievement by the 2 actors Dan & Giles. Opened my eyes to Shakespeare and what it means to the people who perform his work. Definitely will be making a trip to the Globe soon - inspirational! Plus the soundtrack is brilliant, the guys are hilarious and the animation is cool too! WATCH IT!!!

Engaging, Warm, Inspiring and Motivational. Giles and Dan have done a first class job investigating and breaking down 'our Shakes-Fears'. From refreshingly open and honest confessions of the infamous 'iambic pentameter', to Berkoff's unquestionable views on conveying the Bard's messages in their purest and simplest form, you are invited to evaluate, affirm and even deconstruct any long held views and perceptions you may, thus far, have held. If you've ever trembled at the thought of watching, reading, or listening to Shakespeare, or perhaps even consider yourself to be 'well versed' in the genius of the greatest playwright ever to have lived (and need to be reminded of the reasons and the moment you first fell in love with his work), featuring a stellar cast of commentators, step no further than onto this refreshing, warm, fun, compelling and definitive path to the great man himself.

An exciting, inspiring and heart-warming documentary about Shakespeare and what his work means to us today. This documentary speaks to everyone, no matter whether you're a fan of the bard or not. We follow two actor friends, Dan and Giles, as they travel the world and speak to a variety of people, from the average man on the street to the likes of Judi Dench, Baz Luhrmann, Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Derek Jacobi, the list goes on! The most accessible and fun documentary about Shakespeare I have ever seen. It made me laugh but it also had me in tears. A must see!
