Description

    Turns out that a movie about a doll designed for children is about as scary as a doll designed for children.

    I liked the general plot of the film and thought it was a good concept, however i would never label it as a horror film, it was not scary whatsoever (especially in comparison with the conjuring) and the characters were not introduced very well so they appear very disposable. Also, horrors should never (in my opinion) have a remotely "happy" ending, the couple are both fine and the people that did die in the film were either happy to sacrifice themselves or were portrayed as insignificant characters.

    This is not the real Annabelle...as that is a Raggedy Anne type doll...in fact in the very end scene when the lady is buying the porcelain style Annabelle there is a Raggedy Anne on the top shelf in the background...but it's a formulaic storyline which is loosely based on the story of Ed & Lorraine Warren...

    Had visions of the Chucky doll, demented with rage and fake blood, was actually quite surprised and in some parts was jumpy and worthy of the scare. Don't let the front cover put you off.

    I was quite scared during the film, I would recommend watching it as it is actually a good film. Just the ending let it down quite a lot.

    Glad I rented it and in sd at the lower price. Could have been a lot more than it was.the whole film just seemed like a bit of an after thought!

    Quite simple. It just wasn't any good. As others have said regarding characters, story and it was all too predictable. The best bits are in the trailer. Save your money and your time.
