This is one of many horrors I've seen, I would say it is definitely a must watch!!!! it's not too bloody and gory and the actress who plays Carrie portrays the character very well, I have read the book and it has a close link between the movie and the book, unlike some films.

Chloe Grace Moretz is a AMAZING ACTRESS. And she was amazing in this BUT they where a few BORNIG PARTS. Like the car crash, probably make it shorter. the Prom Scene was GOOD. MABEY make it shorter AND the ENDING. Do a different Ending like in the book. Carried kills her mom runs away passes out in the car park where sue snell is and dies of blood Los.

I had watched the first Carrie quite a while ago and didn't think it was that good so was reluctant to watch this version. But when I was persuaded to watch it, I couldn't take my eyes of the screen. This film is purely amazing in every way, especially the ways in which they have changed some small things like the way she moves things around. This is an awesome film and anyone who says otherwise must be watching the wrong film. A must see for everyone, even if you didn't like the first Carrie

This film is horrible it's not scary and no offence to Chloe but she wasn't good while sissy on the other hand was perfect and her face expressions where more believable and realistic take my word this movie is horrifically bad.

Huge fan of the original but enjoyed this one too. I was happy it was not just a straight forward remake but I do think with the effects they lost a lot of Carries venerability and sadness…I think they went a little overboard on the effects, those in the original more effective but helped hugely by a truly haunting soundtrack. Rent this but do check out the original too and you decide which you prefer - both are worth a watch.

It's not very often that a remake is as good, or even better than the original, but this version is superior. The plot and characters are far more three dimensional, and minimal additional dialogue fleshes out the whole package. Technology has been added to bring the film into the current day, but again, this has been done minimalistically to enhance rather than take over. The original film was quite slow at times, and I found my attention wavering. In this version the pace is snappier. Moore brings a horrifying madness to the role, whilst Moretz had me welling up. Some will always prefer the original version of any film, and very often that's justified. This film, however, does justice to an iconic story, told by a true master.

Has nothing on the original but worth a rental watch - the setting is for a contemporary audience so modern audiences will enjoy :D
  • Carbon copy of the original

The original is better as Carrie White is more vulnerable making the switch to power much more assertive. It's still a good movie as the story is strong.
