Lord of the Flies

I’ll be honest here, when I was a kid I longed to watch this movie, hearing all kinds about it - the anticipation grew and grew. It was a long time ago now, I was very young...but for some reason I had imagined the storyline about a giant killer fly picking off helpless children one by one and eating them!! …erm I was kind of wrong there, so there was considerable disappointment when I did get to see it. This is still a great movie though, even with my disappointment when I finally did get to see this, regardless that there was no giant fly ripping off the heads of little children and eating them, I still appreciated a good quality movie and great story (albeit without a giant flying monster). A classic book (yes I read the book to make sure there really wasn’t a giant fly somewhere in the story), Still this is a fantastic movie. No monsters, but lots of screaming kids running about the place. There is no cannibalism either, the kids don’t eat each other - another disappointment when watching this. (( I was very imaginative in my young days - bright eyed and fresh to the world, that was so very long ago, now I suffer knobbly knees and flatulence!)).
