The Mummy

Great movie watched many love it!

It is a good laugh, in the vein of Raiders with more slapstick, and the effects still hold up pretty well.

Ignore people complaining about 4K which is fine but that’s not a fault of the movie. The movie itself is superb. Brendan Fraser is perfectly cast as Rick and along with John Hannah and Rachel Wiez they unleash a countdown to the end of the world with a resurrected Mummy leading his minions. It has good action and a humorous enough script. It’s a far superior movie to the ill fated Tom Cruise version. I watched this fairly recently and maybe the effects would be better if done now but overall it’s aged pretty well.

I was going to buy all ‘The Mummy’ films, until I saw they are all re-listed and downgraded from 4K to HD. Now, you can keep them! Thank you for the warning! The review by ‘jenksdj’ is wrong... it is not ‘Apple’ that are responsible at all, it is the film studios that make the decisions to give films a 4K remastered upgrade or to re-list films. ‘Apple’ cannot make changes to films they sell, because ‘Apple’ DO NOT own the films. However ‘jenksdj’ is correct in stating that they are great films of the “Action & Adventure” genre.

So, Don’t listen to other reviews, they complain about the movies not being upscaled to 4K after the trilogy was, this is not the movies fault, that is down to Apple, the movie and its sequels are a great action adventure for those who love that genre, the acting is amazing, and its a timeless movie.

Please put 4K trilogy back on iTunes

Universal Pictures is a cheat please don’t buy from this despicable studio, every few months they will take down a movie and put the same one back again, expecting you to pay money for the same movies again, i will purchase no more from universal Pictures until they stop being greedy, its a real shame itunes is allowing this to happen.

Once again a film has been relisted to get around the promise of a free 4k upgrade if you have already purchased the film. Why has this version of the film not been upscaled to 4K. If however you had purchased the trilogy box set then your films would have been upscaled. Seems a little unfair.

Glad I bought The Mummy Trilogy when I did as what I’ve got in my purchased library is 4K but what’s available to buy now is only HD??
