G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

This film has a bad title, some dodgy acting and not had the right marketing; however, the film's storyline, character development and direction was surprisingly good. It had fresh action sequences and an unexpected twist too. Not just a typical guy's flick, well worth watching.

This is the single worst film I have ever seen.

To tell you the truth, I couldn't watch the whole film. It seemed so cheesy and over the top. The only compliment I can give for what i saw was that the effects were good. I think it's more for younger kids as it seemed extremely comical, like it was taking the mickey out of spy/gadgety thing. Not one I would watch the whole way through, but this is only my opinion, so don't get mad at me for not liking a film you liked.

I am clueless as to why this film has ANY bad reviews! It is purely awesome! Though having said that, I am 13. Ignore all bad reviews on it and watch.

As an anction movie, this fim fails. The action scenes are outrageous, the plot is non-existant, the acting is abysmal (not entirely the fault of the actors themselves) and the characters are OTT. So, is it a spoof of action films? Well... no; because its not actually funny. It makes no intellectual, philosophical or political message. There is really no film quite like it. Nevertheless it isn't boring. There are enough explosions and exchanges of gunfire to prevent one from falling asleep; this saves it from being one star. I have given it three stars because it reminds me of the sort of thing that would capture the 10-year-old me's imagination. If you are a 10-12 year old boy I would recommend this. If you have a fully-formed brain... stay away at all costs!

This film left me shell-shocked, mumbling and repeating the words, “That’s just awful, just awful!” How could anyone inflict this on another human being? Yes there is CGI, if that’s all you want from a film this is for you. However if you possess a brain that needs stimuli, really, you will have better used your time by watching clothes spinning in the dryer. Yes the spin dryer has better action its more engaging less cringe worthy and not as wet, plus you will get far more out of your dryer than this film. I think you get the drift. Now to be fair while the actors were wooden and uncomfortable throughout I get the general feeling they knew they were used as stuffing for this turkey. The general plot is that a group of testosterone-overwhelmed soldiers are recruited into a secret elite corps of meatheads that need to stop an evil Scot from unleashing weapons of mass boredom on the world, when any evil genius worth his salt would have merely put this film on general release, causing similar devastation. Enjoy!

Hasbro felt the best way to make more money was to adapt the G.I. Joe toy-line. The film's technical achievements are achieved, but hit with unconvincing acting, lack of ideas, sloppy direction and weak writing. But I was still entertained by it regardless.

Best i have ever seen

I actually enjoyed this film. the special effects were amazing and the action was good enough to override any cheesy lines there might have been. the "terrorists" could have been a bit more umm.. menacing? evil? and the twisting of the plot was kind of bad but i dont care, i don't know why but i really enjoyed this film. Kudos to channing tatum and marlon wayans! snake eyes made me laugh.

strange plot , hard to follow. plot holes were filled with tecnology. Great cliffhanger at the end though. Not worth buying
