    Funny Romcom with a light touch, sustained throughout, well acted, keep you warm on a snowy day and about as rude as my review.

    A fun look at the invention of vibrators, by a doctor getting cramp (according to this) from treating 'hysteria' in women with a hands on approach. A great cast of the ever luminous Maggie Gyllenhaal, the wonderful Rupert Everett, Jonathan Pryce and Hugh Dancy with great supporting actors made this a convincing, laugh out loud interesting romp. Highly recommend for a film that's funny and also more intelligent, a period romcom set in the early 1900s at a turning point in modern medicine. A little bit stylised and 'hollywoodized' but no less enjoyable for that.
