Description

Experience the real '60s counterculture in this compelling mixture of drugs, sex and armchair politics. Academy Award-winner Jack Nicholson (Best Actor, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 1975; Best Supporting Actor, Terms of Endearment, 1983; Best Actor, As Good As It Gets, 1997) stars with Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper (who also directs) in this unconventional classic. Nominated for an Academy Award (1969) for Best Original Screenplay (written by Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Terry Southern), EASY RIDER continues to touch a chord with fans everywhere.

This was the movie that paved the way for American independent cinema. During a time when the public questioned their government, revolted against the social norm, & began embracing mild altering substances, Easy Rider changed the way movies were made back in the 60s. Two men make it rich & set on their bikes to explore the open road. A simple story & basic concept. What they find sets the genre standard for a typical road movie. With a great soundtrack & cast to boast, Easy Rider explores the fascinating beauty & disfunction's of 60s America through its varied beliefs, cultures & taboo scenarios, it's a challenging piece of cinema that never gets old & simply gets better with every viewing. At the iTunes bargain price for HD quality, this hugely rewatchable social commentary is a must for those who want an introduction to 60s cinema, those willing to soak up a good road movie, or simply those that want to sample the sweet flavours of a confused & wonderful time that was America in the 60s. Now go buy. You won't regret it
