Description

Meet Jerry Dandridge. He's sweet, sexy, and he likes to sleep in late. You might think he's the perfect neighbor. But before inviting Jerry in for a nightcap, there's just one thing you should know. Jerry prefers his drinks warm, red and straight from the jugular! It's FRIGHT NIGHT, a horrific howl starring Chris Sarandon as the seductive vampire and William Ragsdale as the frantic teenager struggling to keep Jerry's deadly fangs out of his neck. Only 17-year-old Charley Brewster (Ragsdale) knows Jerry's bloodcurdling secret. When Charley can't get anybody to believe him, he turns to TV horror host Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall), who used to be the "Great Vampire Killer" of the movies. Can these mortals save Charley and his sweetheart Amy (Amanda Bearse) from the wrathful bloodsucker's toothy embrace? If you love being scared, FRIGHT NIGHT...will give you the nightmare of your life.

My favourite vampire film of all time, and there was quite a few great contender's The Lost Boys, Vamp and Near Dark. But this for me has it all, a great story with great characters brilliant 80s tunes. Admitidly the FX have dated but don't let that bother you because it certianly still has bite. Please put the original 1988 FrightNight part2 onto iTunes format.

Screw the remake, watch the original. It’s easily the best one out of the two. OK, it’s not got CGI all over it, but for me, the ‘80s practical effects and make-up effects are way better than CGI.

Although I did (surprisingly) enjoy the remake, it doesn't come close to the superb original. One of my all time favourite horror films. This film has charm, scares, laughter and a superb story. It's brilliantly acted, the tone is just right and it boasts one of my favourite scores from none other than Brad "Terminator" Fiedel". I'm so happy to finally have an HD copy. I'll be watching this again and again. Pure 80s magic!

This a classic superb horror comedy. Great acting, drama and special effects. Has far more depth and creativity than the utterly unnecessary remake. Excellent picture and sound quality in this HD release also.
