Concept was good but execution was absolute pants, Music did not help move the narrative at all. Camera work was dodgey at times and there were many entirely pointless scenes and characters (such as the American indian guy) Run a mile it was woeful

Great movie, great acting by the main character, she is very capturing. The camera work is interesting, the tone of the movie, the speed. The subject is really tough and that alone makes the movie so great. Highly recommendable.

This is a thoughtful drama at heart, not sci-fi film. So for everyone complaining that they don't concentrate enough on the "other earth", you're just 'judging a book (film) by it's cover' This film is so much more than what you might think. The science-fiction premise of a duplicate Earth combined with the dramatic concepts of humanity, atonement and second chances come together effortlessly to ask the questions “What would it be like to meet yourself?” and “Is that me better than this me?”. Mike Cahill the director/cinematographer/co-writer creates a visually stunning film whilst intertwining such insightful themes. Marling's acting is perfect and believable. INSANE soundtrack also!! Especially the opening theme with Jupiter in rapid-succession.

Dull. Incredibly slow with an extremely limited acting range.

This film is fantastic. Amazing performances and utterly compelling…I would recommend this to anyone looking to watch a brilliant drama not for sic-fi fans.

One of the most beautiful and thought-provoking films I have seen in a while. No, it doesn't have apocalyptic alien invasions and big robots punching each other into buildings. Instead, this is relatively slow moving, on a small budget, with some genuinely great acting and great camera work. The closing sequence sent shivers down my spine. Highly recommend this film.
