Description

Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is in love with a brooding outsider Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, but the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Gary Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast-one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect...and bait.

I never liked Twilight so I was suprised when I picked this up. And I was not suprised by the fact it's the Twilight formuale, (Boys boys boys 😡). The actors cannot bring anything captivating. We have a heroine who is as stale and idiotic as Bella Swan. The wolf effects are so bad! It doesn't even move it's mouth when it speaks! And if you don't have even a basic idea of who the wolf is, how dumb are you? The only thing I like is the set design. That's it. Very bad film. Why did GO do this? And why is DiC's name on producers?

A film thrown together simply to cash in. Like watching some amateur school play, painful to sit through, bored just wanting it to end.

I'm quire easy going when it comes to movies. I'll watch pretty much anything and give a fair go. But this film made me angry because it was so awful. Dull story, dull acting. Sorry, I hated it.

Bought this in HMV sale for £2.50. Like Twilight and liked Snow White and the Huntsman so thought I'd like this too. Also quite like Amanda Siegfried etc. But this film was rubbish. It was done badly, was pretty boring, effects and set were a bit dodge… just not a great film. Certainly not worth what they're charging on here. Wouldn't watch it again.

Started watching this with my family at home and only got through half of it…I decided to buy it soo I could finally find out who the BIG BAD wolf is and find out whether Valerie has to stay with Henry :S or she makes it with Peter :D lol (you'll understand when you watch it)!! …Absolutely loved this film, I can understand why others don't, but if you don't judge it by Twilight (the Director is the same as Twilight)! ..then it is genuinely epic!! lol I will watch this film again and again :)

I bought this film to watch via apple tv. It will not play through apple tv due to some sort of protection, I get an error message stating that "the connected display is not authorised to play protected movies". Not impressed!
