Description

A creepy, darkly comic celebration of the scariest night of the year from producer BRYAN SINGER (director of X-Men and Superman Returns) and writer-director MICHAEL DOUGHERTY(co-scripter of X2 and Superman Returns). Trick ’r Treat takes the Creepshow/Tales from the Crypt approach to nefarious new depths with four interwoven tales set on Halloween night: a high school principal (DYLAN BAKER) moonlights as a vicious serial killer; the quest of a young virgin (ANNA PAQUIN) for that special someone takes a gruesome turn; a group of teens carries out a cruel prank with disastrous consequences; and a cantankerous old man (BRIAN COX) battles a mischievous trick-or-treating demon.

With a smart script, a cast of familiar faces and a nostalgic, comic-book feel, Michael Dougherty's seasonal frightfest cleverly interweaves five separate stories that all take place one Halloween night. An instant cult-classic, immediately rewatchable and devilishly good fun from start to finish!

I love horror movies, but this one is the worst I've ever watched. Bought it because of the actors, but really disappointed with plot and it all. Not worth it.
  • Awful, truly awful.

Not just one bad story but 3 if I remember correctly been a while since I watched it, have real concerns for anyone rating this above 1 star. Seek help people, seek help.

I love a good horror and I'll even sit through a rubbish one but this really isn't anything special. I sat and watched this and really was left thinking WTF? I agree with some other comments I like the character Sam but it really isn't that clear as to what he is there for. As the film starts, its opening scene is good and makes u think, yeah we could have something, here but honestly it goes shockingly downhill from there. 👎 A few mini stories evolve BUT none have any horror factor to them! If your looking for a film to scare then this isn't it. If you want to feel cheated out if your money then go for it. There are plenty of films out there new and old that are far better. Good go at a scary film but falls quite a bit short of the mark! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

this is a good movie not scary but entertaining worth a rent you won't be disappointed its a Tales from the Crypt keeper type of movie so if you remember them and by them I mean twilight zone one I mentioned earlier and more that were flooding the shelfs in the 80s and 90s then you will love this. On the other hand if your a fan of more mainstream horrors then this might not be you cup of tea it's definitely worth a rent.

This is pathetic. Not one bit of the story made sense. It is boring and a waste of a good 80 minutes. Whoever wrote this needs to hang their head in shame, I hope it picked up some awards for "worst storyline". Absolutely awful, childish nonsense.
