It has a brilliant setting, terrific cast of actors, a gripping story and gives you that feeling as if you actually are there in the cold snow with the characters! There has to be more films like this made!

This is a brilliant film, which is why I rate it highly. Unfortunately this version has three picture breaks which was rather annoying.

Good film, however a tad too long.

Simpy my favourite film of all times. I have seen many great films but this is the one I most revisit. It's not highbrow but an out and out entertaining adventure film with wonderful characters. Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood, Micharl Hordern, Patrick Wymark, Mary Ure and Ingrid Pitt are all great in their own way. The music soundtrack is very evocative particulary the opening sequence of the German trimotor flying through the snocapped Alps. Wonderful! The great shame is that there will never be able to be a follow-up as most of the main characters, with the exception of Clint Eastwood, are now deceased. A wonderful film.

Well now firstly it's the greatest man on a mission film ever made. Certainty one of the best war films ever made aswell as an awesome plot. What's not to love action, thrills, Clint wasting nazis with twin machine guns hong kong style. Let's not forget Richard Burtons one liners to match any modern comedy. This is a must for any fan of great and also funny, gripping, action films. ( and I didn't even give much away )
