    This film of Sir. Walter Scott's masterpiece is terrible. It completely misses the plot. The script writters have left out the fact that the main Norman character was a Knights templer and also that Garth not Wamba was Ivenhoe's squire and did not die. I do understand that the novel on which this film is based was overlong and needed to be refuced to make a movie but this is an outragious attempt. I do not blame the actors who do the best they can given the material. Terrible
