Description

Terrifying underwater action-thriller! Superstars Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone and Samuel L. Jackson star in this thrilling adaptation of the Michael Crichton ("Jurassic Park," "Disclosure") bestseller as a group of scientists recruited by the Navy to conduct a secret underwater mission to explore an alien spaceship and discover it's an American ship returned through time from the future and entombed by an alien sphere. Their mission turns terrifying when they unknowingly develop the power to manifest their worst fears. Directed by Oscar-winner Barry Levinson. Co-starring Grammy-winner Queen Latifah ("Living Single") and Liev Schreiber ("Scream").

Guessing Samuel L and Dustin had some free time and were short for cash. This is not a good film. If you want a GOOD film around this subject, then watch "The Abyss" That is a brilliant film. This one is not. Neither is it original. They could have called this "The Abyss Two" (The bad sequel.) Save your pennies here. Get a copy of "The Abyss" That is a film you will enjoy.
  • Reasonably average but worth it due to originality

This film is ok but nothing to write home about, I thought it had promise but was unfortunately met with a dissapointing storyline which although helped by a reasonable performance by the actors the film failed to see their best side. Overall rent it definately don't buy it and add it to your B-list sci-fi films. Interesting ending, good moments in the ship interesting concept i'm off to buy the book.

The book was clever and well written same goes for the film love the way you have to be on the ball to spot the trick ending - Sharon Stone is an apt character to have been cast to have got one over on the unsuspecting lads lol
