£9.99 for a 40+ year old film? It looks like a good movie but I think I'll rent it from Amazon Prime thank you very much. I can get around 8 films at that price.

Made 40 years ago and how much of this has come true. Nearly all of it! The most scary aspect of this film is the one and only problem the world has:OVERPOPULATION. The overwhelming populous which is now driving the other issues indicated in this movie, environmental decay, cost of food and shelter and gradual acidification of the oceans. This leads to the conclusion of the movie where does soylent green come from? not the oceans as life died out in the sea years before the time the movie is set. This film is not what you are looking for if you believe everything will turn out ok in the end!

After looking at the various reviews I considered this to be a worthy purchase. Though the artwork looked a little dated I didn't want it to cloud my decision. I purchased it and was really looking forward to it. How very disappointed. I can probably say it's one of the worst films I've ever seen. Save yourself some money and DO NOT purchase this film. It's just terrible. Terrible acting, terrible plot and absolutley awful finish. If there was a returns policy I would be asking for my money back.

Well ahead of it's time; good to see Charlton Heston and Edward G Robinson (legend) back together after the ten commandments. Worth watching, well made.

A real classic film that even fires the imagination of those not into Sci-Fi. The name Soylent Green is still referred to nowadays (without giving much away about the film), it has been mentioned as an ingredient in an episode of Futurama!
