Description

1959 Manhattan was a party, and none of the glitterati glittered brighter than Truman Capote. Then he saw a story in The New York Times: "Wealthy Farmer, 3 of Family Slain," and the party ended for Capote. He plunged into the murder case that inspired his great "nonfiction novel" In Cold Blood and led him into a fevered relationship with one of the two doomed killers. But there's more to the story than you know.

the argument for which capote film is better will rage on for along time, but i believe this film will come out top. Toby jones performance is simply amazing he gives us every single angle of Capote's character. Jones really does make philip seymour hoffman capote seem like a impression. perhaps the reason why this film is over looked is because it is far more homoerotic and camp than the previous capote film and straight blokes find it harder to watch. well, screw them, This film is great! rant over xxxxxxxx

Truman Capote is a horrible man if these events are true. What he did was as bad as the criminals hung for murder. I'll certainly never read breakfast at tiffanys again

Brilliant, first half is quite funny and second is hard viewing (some look away scenes) but just brilliant, best 99p spent this year

I'm a bit cynical about films that purport to be historical, but with this one, it doesn't matter. The story is so compelling and the writing was superb. Being a Brit, I know little about Capote, but if this story is even part accurate, what a tortured soul he was. Superb acting from all the cast, especially Daniel Craig, Toby Jones and Sandra Bullock. It's just excellent.
