Description

    This is in my top ten favourites. Sean Connery is superb as the rich widow who can read you like a book, smart and sexy. Tippi Hedren is fantastic as the thief who has a problem with men, trust and the colour red. The storyline is a good one, good cast, good film.

    Hitchcock's brilliant adaption of the famous novel didn't disappoint. This film boasted excellent acting skills, character interpretations and a gripping underscore that kept up the suspense throughout. It was not too cliche for a 60s film - though it would be, of course, if made more recently - and I didn't find it at all derivative.
