Description

Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo" has taken its place as the director's most spellbinding and deeply personal achievement. Silver screen legend James Stewart reteams with the Master of Suspense to play a detective who falls in love with a tortured, beautiful woman (Kim Novak) he is hired to surveil. His following lapse into obsession and desperation is the stuff of cinematic legend. Using the elegant, dramatic San Francisco locations to haunting effect, this timeless masterwork raises the bar for noir thrillers to dizzying heights. Also stars Emmy-winner Barbara Bel Geddes.

This is a masterpiece one of hitchcocks finest. An intriguing and haunting tale coupled by an intense and incredible score that gives the film the emotion and drive that I'm sure hitchcock intended without the score the film wouldn't be the same. Great performances stunning cinematography and shot in ultra wide 35mm video.this is an all time classic and one of my favoirate films ever, they don't make them like this anymore!!.

One of the most influential films ever made and a masterclass in film-making, this is Hitchcock at the apex of his run of 1950/60's classics (North by Northwest, Rear Window, Psycho, The Birds, Marnie). It's one of the most atmospheric and stylish films he ever made with beautiful camera work and career best performances by James Stewart and Kim Novak (who is the ultimate Hitchcock ‘Ice Cool Blonde’ in this film). Everything about this film is pitch perfect - the score by Bernard Herrmann, Saul Bass’s titles - even the Saul Bass Poster for the movie is a design classic. If you love the movies - you'll love this.
