This is one of the best films that I've ever seen the martial art scenes are fantastic and then in the bits in between Morgan Freeman is teaching Jet Li to be a human it's a great balance between action and a feel-good plot

This film makes a brave stab at a socially motivated martial arts actioner. It also plays the nature verses nurture card, but taken to the kind of extremes you'd find in a martial arts movie. The fight sequences do not have the wire line baletics of Asian films, being quite brutal in places, but this is in keeping with the world portrayed. Some of the scenes in which the main character, Danny, share with Morgan Freeman are a little sacharrine, but what is evident, is that Jet Li can pull focus from actors of this calibre. In short, not just slap peole about, but do misty eyed too.

This Film Is a very action packed film with a intriging plot. The Acting And performance of Bob Hoskins and Jet Li Is Very Convining. I Am Greatly disappointed with the lack of other Martial Arts Material Within The iTunes Store. Had Great Concerns That I coudn't Find Any Rush Hours. Still Can't Find One Of My Favs---The Guardian Three Stars But Could of have 5 if there were more choice in martial Arts Come On iTunes ¬!!!!¬¬¬¬!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreary. Luc Besson gets a Director billing along with Jet Li & another, but you'd never know. It begins fairly enough with a decent fight to set the scene for what Jet's character is etc. It then plods along for what feels like a very, very long time. Once the emotional content is done away with we get Jet in more fights, but they're tepid, even embarrassing, the fight scene in some rich man's Fightclub hidey-hole is pretty poor; the guests all look like some middle-aged persons idea of a rave crowd- when you get it this wrong it's just not on. I will say the introduction of the sinister-looking evil, rich man looked all set to opening up an interesting plot development, was this Mephistophelean character going to subvert Bob's provincial ambitions with more exotic ambition of his own! However as he was clearly just intended as a side character I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying evil-rich-man does not appear too often. The finale fight scene sets up as a barnstormer and then plays out with a whimper. The only good thing is Bob Hoskins, but I was even tired of him doing his angry little man by the end. Morgan Freeman played the wise old man character that he always does. Oh and it seems to have been set in Glasgow, however everyone had a London/East end accent, couldn't quite figure that one. So long as British cinema feels that it can only do movies about 'gangsters' and villainy of the most bumbling kind, where there's plenty of 'ketchup' but folks only die when they're scripted to, you'll get movies like this, seeking to add to an overflowing genre but ultimately adding nothing.
