British astronaut Jeff Nolan returns to earth to find his hometown has been invaded by a robot army. Controlled by an alien race bent on the domination of Earth, the robots use a poison gas to turn the humans into zombie-like creatures; and Nolan must avoid a similar fate. When he finds a group of human survivors, he leads them in an attack against the robots, which involves attempting to jam the signal between the mechanical invaders and their masters. The Earth Dies Screaming is a classic British horror film directed by the acclaimed Terence Fisher.
