Description

"If you build it, he will come." With these words, Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) is inspired by a voice he can't ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe. Supported by his wife Annie (Amy Madigan), Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true. Along the way he meets reclusive activist Terence Mann (James Earl Jones), the mysterious “Doc” Graham (Burt Lancaster) and even the legendary “Shoeless Joe” Jackson (Ray Liotta). A heartwarming experience that has moved critics and audiences like no other film of this generation, Field of Dreams is a glowing tribute to all who dare to dream.

I remember see Field of Dreams on its release way back in 1998, i took my girlfriend of the time, the cinema was empty except for us. I didnt particularly want to go, but my girlfriend was a Kevin Costner fan and persuaded me, im so glad she did. This film has brought so much pleasure over the years, yes its heartwarming, yes its sentimental, but arent films supposed to affect how you feel? Field of Dreams is the pinnacle of Kevin Costners career, like James Stewart in Its a Wonderful Life no matter what KC tried afterwards nothing could top this film. If you have not seen this film you really really must, youll come away a better person i guarantee it. One last thing, could you ever love someone who didnt cry, even a little bit, at the end of this film...........

This is a classic but amazing film! Kevin Costner is at his best and no film can go wrong with James Earl Jones. £6.99 is a bit steep, you can buy it way cheaper online which is worth the extra effort.

This is a good movie, bit way out there but has the knack to draw you right into it. James Earl Jones is good to watch and Burt Lancaster. Worth watching.

another good movie from Costner, people who jump on the band wagon slating films like this and waterworld don't have a clue. what do they know, yes the story may be corny but on acting ability alone the man pulls it off.

What a film something we all have Dreams but how many of us ever follow them? How many of us wish we could undo something we have done or said to a loved one? I like many would love to build my dreams and turn back the clock and play ball with my dad. A man that was truely love and respected in the film, but as in most things in life the words were never told. This is a film that will I feel make most of us think what we have had and lost and if we are fortunate enough what we can still do while we have time. This film made me cry as it made me think. I have watched it several times now with the same results. I can not describe what this film means to me. Maybe I am an old softie at heart. My advice is watch it and enjoy.
