Description

Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe-winner Tom Cruise, Academy Award-nominee and Golden Globe-winner Brad Pitt and Golden Globe-nominee Kirsten Dunst are among the undead in this spellbinding adaptation of Anne Rice's ("Queen of the Damned," "Exit to Eden") bestselling horror novel. When an ambitious reporter agrees to interview a man who claims to have been a vampire since the 18th century, he hears a hypnotic, shocking, violent, moving and erotically charged tale, detailing what it was like existing for the past two-hundred years as one of the living dead. The powerhouse cast also includes Golden Globe and Emmy Award-nominee Antonio Banderas; Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-nominee Stephen Rea ("V for Vendetta," "The Reaping"); Christian Slater; and Thandie Newton ("The Pursuit of Happyness," "Crash"). Directed by Academy Award-winner Neil Jordan ("The Crying Game," "The End of the Affair"), and produced by David Geffen ("Little Shop of Horrors," "Personal Best").

A very interesting view into the world of vampirism and it's evil nature from an innoncent vampire not willing to sin. I love these characters. Louis I completley adore, Claudia was so cute and Lestat was so much fun to watch. The story goes throughout history and the set design captures each period wonderfully. The action and fight scenes are truely memorable and they'll please gore hounds. Overall the film was amazing! Will please the vampire lovers and fans of historical melodramas. I just got the book to read and I am definately going to watch Queen of the Damned (Actually didn't know they did that one!)

Without a doubt the best vampire film ever made... If not one of the best film ever created. The score in the film is so powerful. Neil Jordan at his masterful best. Even if Vampires aren't your thing, but you are a fan of well made horror, this would be a film for you. *****

I didn't have to think twice about buying this, it is by far my favourite vampire film. I absolutely love how the characters are portrayed, they're exactly how I'd like to think vampires 'exsist', 'live' and act. It's a shame it's only two hours in length.. But I think if it was any longer it'd drag. It's a perfect film and I really wish they'd make more.
