Description

After multiple dirty bombs are detonated, spreading deadly toxic ash across Los Angeles, Brad (Rory Cochrane) inadvertently quarantines his wife, Lexi (Mary McCormack), outside their home by safely sealing himself inside. With the city under siege and Martial Law in affect, Brad and Lexi struggle to survive with few supplies, less time and no information- all the while separated by thin doors and thinner sheets of plastic. When help finally arrives, it's anything but.

This is a really good film. I enjoyed it almost completely. However, the end was slightly spoilt by... Well, not BEING there. Instead of "being concluded", it just "stopped". However, don't let this put you off, as it's well worth a look-see.

What happens if 'dirty bombs' go off in downtown Los Angeles and a mysterious fallout makes the air a toxic soup, or doesn't.. or does?? What happens then if following said 'dirty explosions' you decide to cellophane yourself into your entire house and then wait for 'help' from the authorities. If you think this sounds like an exciting film you probably work in the nebulous, pseudo-discipline of risk analysis or business continuity.. gosh what happens if I can't plug in my cellphone or can't get into the office. Who cares. Which is exactly what I thought of this lame flick. It builds itself tediously up to a 'twist' by the way, which if you can't guess then clearly you haven't watched enough of this sort of dross like I have.

This is one of those movies that stays with you for quiet some time and really makes you think. Highly enjoyable and certainly worthwhile to watch...
