Description

Four years unjustly jailed haven't dampened the spirits or determination of Nikki Finn. The spunky parolee sets out to clear her name - and sets the Big Apple spinning in deliriously funny ways. "Madonna is sexy and funny - a very engaging comedian," Vincent Canby of The New York Times wrote of her work in Who's That Girl. The music/movie superstar displays kicky comic flair and sings four terrific soundtrack tunes (Causing a Commotion, The Look of Love, Can't Stop and the title song). Griffin Dunne co-stars as an uptight, soon-to-wed attorney whose mild lifestyle swerves into the path of uproarious oncoming traffic courtesy of Nikki. This frisky caper proves screwball comedy is alive and swell.

This has got to be one of the worst English language films of the late 20th century - ever. Pity Griffin Dunne and all the others who had to act with the gormless wannabe actress Madonna on this piece of faecal material. Within the first 5 mins there was a desire to smack Mad (& her character) in the visage with the back of a shovel - eek that voice, that acting (?) style, that mug - which producer sucked it up to make this. Warner Bros sure pulled one ugly turkey with this one and now iTunes is pushin this as a cheap rental?! Spare others iTunes and bin this Madge assault.

I never saw this film in the 80s, I think I was influenced by the bad reviews. When I did watch it a few months ago I thought it was brilliant, funny and cute! I don't understand why the critics were so harsh. Since I downloaded it I've watched it over and over. Oh, and dear iTunes I want to buy desperately seeking Susan, please do something!
