The best film either Denzel or Hawke have made. Don't get me wrong, both have made amazing films before and after, together and apart... but nothing is better than this. Plus you know, £3.99 on iTunes right now. Excellent considering it's replay value.

Has you on the edge of your seat throughout. There’s a gritty realness to the whole thing that makes your hairs stand on end. A must watch.

This film had me gripped right from the off. While many of the cast perform well throughout, it's DW that steals the show giving in my opinion one of his most memorable performance ever. The action is slick and the the movie is interspersed with tender moments that make an impact. Ethan Hawke makes a believable cop and his initial struggle with Washingtons character resonates. Over all an incredible film that I can't recommend strongly enough.

This film did not grip me in the slightest by a half hour into it I got fed up and stopped watching.

I DONT THINK THE MAN HAS MADE A DUFF FILM................WHY PAY 99p TO RENT IT WHEN IT WAS ON THE TELLY A FEW DAYS AGO OR JUST BUY IT FROM THE SUPERMARKET FOR A FEW QUID.................ANYWAY AWESOME FILM ..VERY GRITTY......WELL WORTH A WATCH.

I've seen this movie so many times and I can't get enough of it. DW is unbelievably brilliant in this. And the dilemma that Ethan Hawke's character has to go through is compelling : What's a bit of police corruption between fellow cops. There maybe no good guys left in the world but there are still heroes. Extraordinary and on the money this. A metaphor for American behaviour in the world. Epic.

This is quality! Never felt it had the recognition it deserved!! Denzil Washington at his best!!
