    The F4:RotSS is not a bad film overall. It treats the Silver Surfer with respect, hinting at his tragic backstory, while the interactions between the Four verge on both deep connections and comedy gold at times. Chiklis carries the character of Ben Grimm/The Thing with ease and the others slot around him neatly. Sadly, the plot needed a bit of work, some of the special effects are a bit shonky and the action sequences could have done with a polish. Nevertheless, F4:RotSS is still far superior to the remake. It just lacks that something that would have gained the fourth star.
