Description

A teenager, bored by traditional high school subjects like biology but fascinated by computers, accidentally taps into the Pentagon's top-secret computer...the USA's NORAD system. He starts what he innocently believes is a computer game called "Global Thermonuclear War," but the "game" is real. The Pentagon's best minds cannot shut down or reprogram the supercomputer that is readying a missile attack against the USSR, and thereby unleash Armageddon. The teen and his girlfriend attempt to aid the helpless Pentagon and, in a frantic race against a ticking "doomsday clock," try to persuade the computer to end the "game."

  • Great film but lower the price. £3.99 or less is a fair price.

This is a great film that I would like to buy. But... lower the price! £7.99 is a ridiculous price for such an old film. Lower the price to £3.99 or less and I will buy it. I have bought loads of 4K Dolby Vision films with Dolby Atmos, iTunes Extras and English subtitles for £4.99 and less.

War Games is a classic, one I’m very fond of to this day, coming of age, living in a time of nuclear threat, the dangers of computers (all very eighties themes).
  • Good Film, Ratings Skewed

This film is actually really good, I've watched it multiple times. The rating is low because people are rating based on the price and not the film - if you see this, report the review as off-topic.
  • Love the film!

This is a real classic, we have Ferris Bueller raising hell with a computer and a decent score on GALAGA. Further quality added with support from Dabney Coleman ( a living legend), James Tolkan ( you know, Strickland from Back to the future) and Eugene from Grease!

One of my favourites. Same price roughly, but HD please plus iTunes Extras. Then you'll have my business. :)

I got Apple TV for Xmas and I am pro Apple anything, but come on guys, £6.99? You lot are taking the proverbial. Go buy elsewhere guys. I'll gladly pay half the price and rip to my collection!

Was quite chuffed when a quick search found this. That then quickly turned to disappointment when i realised how much it would set me back. It's just as easy to hop onto another webpage and find it at a much more honest and reasonable price. Vote with your wallets and purses folks. Go elsewhere. A great scheme ruined by a greedy marketing strategy..
  • Great Film but over priced
