Description

The plan was flawless. The execution was perfect. Charlie Croker pulled off the crime of a lifetime. The one thing that, he didn't plan on was being double-crossed. Now he wants more than the job's payoff...he wants payback. Mark Wahlberg is electrifying as Croker in this "fast and furious action-adventure." Along with a drop-dead gorgeous safecracker (Charlize Theron), Croker and his team take off to re-steal the loot and end up in a pulse-pounding, pedal-to-the-metal chase that careens up, down, above and below the streets of Los Angeles. With an ensemble all-star cast that also includes Edward Norton, Seth Green, Jason Statham, Mos Def, Franky G and Donald Sutherland, The Italian Job is "Hot!"

I know some people don’t like remakes of a classic, I don’t like some of them either. This remake though, I did really enjoy and I think that it’s differences in some ways, but similarities in others, was enough to do the original ‘The Italian Job’ justice. Best of all this was only £3.99 (July 2019) when I bought it. It’s a HD film with Dolby 5.1 and has iTunes Extras and CC subtitles.

For once the remake of a movie has not embarrassed itself. I really enjoyed this movie from start to Finish, I thought that the charactors were cast to perfection and really helped to carry the story to a well thought out ending that was packed with action and suspense. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a good action movie. Oh and Charlize was hot as always.

This is not a remake of a Classic, it has taken names from the original film, Starts in Italy, ends up in LA. The link to the Italian Job is that they are going to steel the gold in transit. Whilst I would agree with the comments of others about the use of the name. I did find the film enjoyable, this was the first film I loaded to an iPod, and is still among my favourite films. You do not have to think to much just enjoy.

It shows that the Americans just can't beat the brilliant British original therefore it failed already, furthermore classic actors like Michael Caine are just too good for the American actors!!!
  • Good!

The film itself is good however it is no were near as good as the original, therefore they should have named it different.
  • Buy the 1969 version

Okay, I just watched both films and.. What the heck is this!? The Italian Job (1969) was a Great British Classic and America had to ruin it by turning it into a freaking action movie! If you want humour, language and a movie that makes you think 'Awesome!' then watch the 1969 one.
  • BOO!

Boo the Americans for attempting to take on a british classic, The Italian Job doesn't get anymore british and to mess around with that is suicide. They tried and failed...miserably. Utter rubbish.
