    Great film one of my all time favourites! I have not seen the original which is supposed to be better, other than that very enjoyable to watch, great story and acting. Well worth a watch if not seen before!

    Not even a strong casting line-up of Denzel Washington, Liev Schreiber, Jeffrey Wright, Jon Voight and yes even a Meryl Streep hamming it up with her worst Hilary Clinton impression can help a movie that never really gets out of first gear. Maybe a workmanlike script, maybe uninspiring directing, maybe a jaded final edit, maybe all of the above.

    I watched this remake prior to having watched the original and thought it was a really good thriller, with a good plot and some decent acting. Having now seen the original as well, I would recommend that over this as I think it is more subtly played. However, this is well worth £4 of anyone's money, it's one of the best films of this type I have seen recently, and Washington is excellent as always.

    On the whole a good thriller, however I personally found Meryl Streep INCREDIBLY annoying....just wanted to slap the bint! The incestuous undertones were more than a little creepy too. As usual, Denzel Washington was superb, but I did feel Liev Schreiber to be miscast for some reason.An ok film to pass the time but nothing amazing, and not worth the £6.99 to buy.

    Meryl Streep hams it up like a latter day Livia and Denzil Washington struggles to make an unfeasible plot credulous. When the bloodless, mysterious doctor with the fat syringe makes his entrance, my suspension of disbelief wilted but it didn't collapse completely until Mr Washington, as a crazed Gulf War vet, bites a chunk out Mr Schreiber, the vice-presidential nominee's back.

    ...as I haven't seen this remake but the original is so good, I wonder if they can improve on it despite having all these Academy Award Winner/Nominees in it. Watch the original then watch this one and pen your review.
