Description

The clues are in, the chase is on, and the case of the century is about to break wide open in Disney's greatest little mystery in history! Let the creators of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid take you on an adventuresome journey through the cobblestone streets of 1897 London, where some suspicious "mousechief" is the suspenseful start to this thrilling musical adventure. Olivia, the brave daughter of a beloved London toymaker, turns to Basil of Baker Street for help with her father's disappearance. Basil's jolly assistant, Dr. Dawson, and loyal dog Toby lend a hand ... and nose ... as they sniff out clues through their charming miniature world. The final chase leads to Professor Ratigan (voiced by Vincent Price), a hard-hearted criminal whom Basil must outwit to save all of Mousedom!

this film used to make me laugh when i was younger, it's funny and it has a scooby doo feel to it, it's a mouse like sherlock holmes who has to investigate disappearances and battle professor ratigan lol i love the name. Good film, funny stuff, and the acting isn't bad either
  • The Best Disney film (in my opinion)

This is Disney's 26th animated picture, and for me comes up there in the top of the under-rated Disney Productions parallel if not better to the Rescuers amongst other forgotten tales. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of a slightly darker Disney story that beckons away from the standard contemporary Disney layout but still holds to the tried and tested method of good versus Evil, in the form of an insightful mouse, called Basil (whom has multiple references to Sherlock) who tries to thwart the attempts of Ratigan, an evil deluded "mouse" who attempts to murder the queen and replace her with a robot counterpart. Directed by Ron Clements and his team (who later directed The Little Mermaid and Aladin) this is defiantly a Disney classic worth buying
