Warner Bros finally upgraded my old copy to 4K, no extras but if wishes were horses…. Anyway, well done, WB. This is a terrific film for the whole family, and the new transfer looks splendid.

I criticised Warner Bros. for not upgrading my existing copy to 4K as my previous one stopped working which was in HD and I left a bad review here - but thankfully, and as some pointed out, older copies are being upgraded to 4K - this is great news and I hope Warner Bros. keep this practice up and convert all existing HD movies to 4K once 4K is available - do not be like Universal Pictures, who's movies inHD i have stopped buying until they stop the shoddy practice of relisting movies and not upgrading previous versions.
Regarding Willy Wonka movie - great transfer in 4K and Dolby Vision make this the best version of a classic movie - one of the great movies - must buy

Is it Apple or studio, it’s these little cash grabs though re-listing that make people look to piracy instead of buying from a trusted source, thought these company’s would know better by now, you don’t keep loyal customers with this practice, if they keep doing this piracy will rise again and there have a bigger headache to deal with.
One again WB…once again

I suppose the whole Jonny Depp saga means absolutely nothing to them since you’d think they’d be keeping quiet or under the radar…but no, why would they, why not re-list the same movie, why not??
Well thank you for giving people more and more reason to boycott your movies.
Rip’s WB
This is typical of Warner Bros, at least they kept the subtitles.

5 stars for the film. 1 star for the film studio/s involved.
The ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ has been given a 4K Dolby Vision upgrade and this already very popular film looks so much better for it. It’s a great film that most people remember fondly for one reason or another and it has a great IMBd rating, that is well deserved. Those that have previously purchased this film in HD should find that their film gets upgraded, but it can take weeks/months for it to happen. Be warned though, occasionally some HD films do not get upgraded to 4K. I think it is because when a film is re-listed, YOU are no longer entitled to the free 4K upgrade, you can ask Apple but they will not tell you why, they will just blame the film studio involved.
This is typical of Warner Bros, and they are one of the worst film studios for doing it, if not the worst. Other stunts that they pull are getting a HD film with AD and English CC subtitles, and upgrading it to 4K Dolby Vision, BUT, removing the AD and English CC subtitles. Then later selling another relisted 4K Dolby Vision film that has now got AD and English CC subtitles added. They do it because they know that people will re-buy the same film to get the AD and English CC subtitles back. Another stunt is to re-list a film with 4K Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and English CC subtitles, then upgrade the taken down films to just 4K Dolby Vision. They do this because they know that people will buy the same film again for the Dolby Atmos soundtrack and English CC subtitles. I know Apple only promised that ALL HD films would be upgraded to 4K for free, but this is what more and more film studios are doing, because they know Apple cannot do anything to stop them.
