Description

Nothing extraordinary ever happens to Carol Peters (played by Melissa McCarthy), so when she starts getting snarky backtalk from her TV, phone and microwave, she thinks she’s being punked. Or losing her mind. In fact, the world’s first superintelligence (voiced by James Corden) has chosen to study and observe Carol’s attempt to romantically reconcile with her former boyfriend (played by Bobby Cannavale) to better understand the human condition. Soon, the all-powerful entity takes over her life...with ominous plans to possibly take over the world. Now, Carol is potentially humanity’s last chance before this AI-with-an-attitude decides to pull the plug.

Not really that funny, but somewhat entertaining. Although the film has been done before on a more serious note, such as Eagle Eye. The flm could have been funnier, and had so much more done to it. I do feel James Corden was rather boring and monosyllabic through out, maybe a different actor would have been better. Most of the best parts have actually been shown on the trailer, and the ending very weak!

Really nice, enjoyed it! Might not be an award winner, but was a nice family film with some great belly laughs. Melissa McCarthy & James Corden bounce off each other wonderfully! 😊
  • A real disappointment 👎

Melissa is honestly incredible in everything she does, but this has to be her first bad movie. It just wasn’t funny. Also, Hollywood. Can we stop using James Corden P L E A S E. Leave him for trashy BBC TV and get some proper Hollywood meat! 😤 Such a shame. This could of been brilliant...
