Katherine has saved Christmas 2020!! In this incredibly personal, emotional, funny film you get to see and hear Katherine perform amazing Christmas songs with some incredible guests. Katherine involves her family too which is super-rare to get so up close and personal. You get to see areas of the Royal Albert Hall which you don’t normally see and you also get to see a room filled with Katherine’s amazing dresses over the years. This is not to be missed. An absolute masterpiece. If this doesn’t get you in the mood for Christmas then you are Scrooge!
  • The Perfect Christmas Accompaniment

It’s not often a film or a piece of music touches your soul but the Christmas Spectacular certainly did. After months of emotional ups and downs this was the perfect tonic. One of those performances which you don’t want to end because it is genuinely that good and takes you to a world of reflection and escapism amidst the craziness of the word right now. The film brings such warmth and that is highlighted by Xander and Aaliyah joining in the Festive fun with their mummy and daddy who must be so proud of them. Definitely future stars in the making. It starts with views of London from the skies at night and already I was emotional remembering it having not been there for many months now and the opening performance of ‘O Holy Night’ from the Albert Memorial was just magical especially in that red cape. I hadn’t listened to ‘O Come O Come O Emmanuel’ many times before but this performance was certainly haunting and seeing all those empty seats of an arena normally packed to the rafters was quite stirring. Other absolute highlights were ‘Walking in the Air with an incredible trapeze artist, Silent Night from the beautiful roof terrace, The Christmas Medley where you showed how much fun you obviously were having and the last song before the community singing ‘I Wish You Christmas’ and how good was it to watch an orchestra again with an amazing conductor. Vanessa Redgrave’ reading of Amazing Peace was emotional yet captivating and maybe something we all needed to hear right now. The dresses were beautiful and to think they are all hand made is mind blowing. Suzanne Neville deserves the praise she has been receiving for them. We left the cinema beaming and just wanting more - not many films can do that. I am so glad I got to see it on the big screen in London it was an absolute dream to see you take centre stage. Katherine you show such kindness, gentle grace, warmth and a compassion for others it is wonderful to see. Your passion for your art is remarkable and your truly incredible vocals are second to none. So Project Cheer Accomplished! Thank you for making it a very Merry Christmas for us after such a challenging year.
