Description

Legendary director Wes Craven (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) re-invented and revitalized the slasher-horror genre with this funny, clever and scary first film in the hit franchise. After a series of mysterious deaths, an offbeat group of scary movie fans become the target of a masked killer. As the body count begins, it's clear that the rules must be followed, and everyone's a suspect. David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, and Drew Barrymore star in this semi-satire, all-scares first installment.

All this talk of stealing from libraries is totally false. Also there’s a reason why this title has been re listed which is due to all Miramax movies moving from Lionsgate to Paramount so a totally different studio/distributor altogether. All those that bought this movie previously will still have their Lionsgate purchase in their library.

Yet another movie delisted, there is ZERO excuse for this and if other stores like amazon offered extras for movies I’d never buy from apple. I buy things from amazon and google when iTunes have no extras but when I want extras I have no option except apple which is when scams can really take hold because without even 1 competitor,a company seems free to do what it wants. 1 or.2 people boycotting is never going to affect their sales so they’ll keep on doing it. It’s about time everyone contacted their MPs or took apple to court through a joint case rather than individuals trying on their own

Hi Apple, how can we trust you anymore. I’ve spent a lot of money building my collection with ITunes purchases. I’ve just noticed Scream 1, 2, and 3 have disappeared out of my library. How can you allow this to happen. It’s happened with other titles before and I’ve let it slide, but this takes the biscuit. Please don’t false advertise and have purchase as an option. Purchase means you have that copy for life, like a Blu Ray, not for a few months before it disintegrates. I’m switching to Amazon and I suggest others do too. Very poor and from what I can gather from other posts, has zero customer service. I’ve seen multiple posts on other titles with the same problem and no response from Apple. I have made my last Apple movie purchase. If you have any sense don’t buy from them. They can’t be trusted. Apple steal your money. Very disappointed in them

This studio has been permitted by Apple to re-list this movie so existing purchases of this movie will no longer be supported by Apple. For example Apple won’t honor their promise to upgrade our purchases to 4K for free when it becomes available because it’s been re-listed and iTunes plus content can be removed from delisted versions without warning. In other words, this is a studio to boycott, or it could happen to you.

Don’t see why people are rating the movie down when they have issues with iTunes. Don’t take it out on the movie. Anyway iconic horror movie. It’s a must see.

A great slasher/ who done it! Full of meta references and quirky comedy, as well as blood and gore a plenty. The pacing is just right and there are enough red herrings (one a first watch) to keep you guessing who the killer is. The characters are surprisingly well rounded and likeable, unlike other rip off slasher that followed in this films wake. I feel this film helped redefine the horror genre in the 90’s and shouldn’t be over looked, even if the diminishing returns of the sequels do take away from its prestige now a days.

I own this film but I appreciate it’s confusing that it’s asking me re-buy from the store. All people need to do is go to their library and the film is there to play with no charge. Calm down and go to your libraries.
