Gretel & Hansel

....really weird strange twist on the Hansel and Gretel story but was interesting watch

Looked and felt like a film school project. The performance levels of the actors is difficult to describe, like amateurs thinking they are thespians, it felt awkward and embarrassing in places. The cinematography too looks like video from a domestic DSLR. The story telling is granular and patchy when, for such a classic fairytale, it should have been bold and risky. For a story as great as this you have to push the envelope so to speak to do it justice. All that being said give it a try if you like this genre, if you can see past its limitations its good enough with a beer and some pringles.
