Description

Josephine Chesterfield (Anne Hathaway) is a glamorous, seductive Brit with a penchant for defrauding gullible wealthy men. Into her well-ordered world bursts Penny Rust (Rebel Wilson), an Aussie who is as free-form and fun-loving as Josephine is calculated and cunning. Despite their differences, both are masters of the art of the fleece.     The Steve Martin version was pure comedy gold. This on the other hand is a scene by scene remake of that version without jokes that land. Rather than being funny, it’s just awkward to watch and the actresses fail to make the best of a bad script.

    This was an absolutely awful film. Please please please do not buy it! The story was incredibly boring and slow but at-least it had a decent ending. If you want to watch a drama/comedy about women like this, then watch “Hustlers” which was actually quite good.

    Ann hathaways voice gets annoying. Story line is rubbish. I love these two actors. I was very disappointed. For 99p rent worth a watch

    I had to google ‘Anne Hathaway’s accent in The Hustle’ to work out what accent she is trying to do. She is trying to do an English accent. I spent the film wondering if it was German or English. It seemed to fluctuate within sentences and therefore was incredibly distracting, overshadowing everything for me.

    Arguably the worse film in cinema history!!! Both actresses were really bad and Ann’s German accent was awful, I am surprised the film made it to dvd.

    Loved this movie. Goes against the grain of the usual expectations. Lots and lots of fun in the movie. I loved it. Leave your preconceived ideas and impressions from the negative reviews at the door
