  • Fine adaptation of the comic crossover!

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a terrific crossover, and this animated adaptation is great indeed. The animation style is nice, vibrant and suits both franchises, the plot is a good reworking of the comics team-up, some nice characterisation and some fabulous fight scenes from start to finish. The only thing that lets it down is the jarring tone. Its a colourful cartoon that has some violent scenes which aren’t suitable for children. It’s like this movie can’t decide whether it’s for younger/older fans or both. Apart from that, it will appeal to both Batman and Turtle fans.

I had high hopes and they were met - some awesome new characters and fight scenes. Much more violent than I was expecting too.

But not great either. I feel that the creators of this film wanted to sit on two horses and fell between the them on the ground miserably. The entire film has such lighthearted tone that makes it childlike but it’s not for kids most certainly. Some gore, and killing with a silly childish story and jokes. Personally expected more from this. The modern age Batman suit looks wicked though in an animated movie!
