The Girl in the Spider's Web

This film is so weak compared to the previous English language film and the three Swedish films. They obviously chose to pick a softer actress and make Lisbeth softer too. In previous films the character is tough, strong, independent, anti-social and reluctant to ask for help. In this film she seems so much weaker, more “normal”, less Aspergers. She looks emotional in her eyes all the time - more sympathetic, upset, caring. She might be an okay character in another film but really didn’t seem like Lisbeth Salander. I also don’t think this film works without seeing the previous films. There is a lot of characterisation missed. However if you’ve seen the previous films this is just disappointing compared to them. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig were cast so perfectly and the characters and chemistry were so strong. This film just makes me sad there weren’t sequels to that film.

Im a huge fan of the last film and waited in eagerness for this release. Its just not captivating like its predecessor and I cannot understand why they changed the two lead roles. The plot and style of the movie are just trying to mimic the bourne and bond franchises. Driving motorbikes on lakes is just ridiculous. Its not worked and I wouldnt bother if I were you

The trailer looks good but the film was really very poor indeed. Big plot holes. Falling a hundred feet off a building and surviving? Sounds plausible. A Lamborghini in the snow? - yes that would be my choice too. Eventually my wife and I started laughing at the film which I imagine was. It what the producer was aiming for. And everyone in Sweden seems to be able to speak English so why didn’t they use a Swedish lead actress?

On par with the other, girl with dragon tattoo films, enjoyed it, good storyline 👍💋

idiot, wasting time ! No action except snow sliding scene for 3 Seconds. NO STAR !

My god! So disappointing that Claire Foy is totally mis-cast and what was a quality franchise is reduced to a cheap, frustrating lump of pointlessness.

Don’t waste your time. Dreadful clunky dialogue, dull predictable plot and Foy (who is normally fantastic) is miscast.

Take a back seat Mr Bond & Mr Bourne, Lisbeth Salander is 5* just hope there is more to come, fantastic film.

I didn’t enjoy this too much. Found it slow, predictable and Claire Foy wasn’t quite up to the part.

Good cast, solid plot.
