I was really looking forward to this. As a coach, I know how powerful coaching is in changing lives, but this film didn’t show it. There was zero discussion of the evidence of why and how coaching works, just a series of big and unsubstantiated claims. There were glimpses of great work - I have no doubt that Julie Starr’s approach for example, and the wilderness retreat, were powerful for the clients. We could have heard more about why these were chosen, what was being applied, how it was working. But we didn’t. Worst of all the unscientific claims of having changed the lives of all the participants. Clearly at least one soul was still in a very difficult place at the end of the film despite disingenuous edits hinting at him having achieved the relationship a baby he dreamed of. I’m still waiting for the documentary that demonstrates how good coaching is. This, unfortunately, isn’t it.

I was inspired to watch this documentary by a life coach that I follow. I am so grateful that a film of this nature has been produced. The power of coaching is so understated and in a sense hard to portray or explain to someone who has not had a direct experiance of coaching. As a coach, the best way to get clients is to give them an experiance of coaching. Leap will do wonders for the industry of coaching. Coaches do not just wake up one day and coach. Coaches go through such a process of their own reflection and self work in order to be effective coaches. You really get a sense of this from the coaches in this film and thank you to those four vulnerable clients that were all so diverse in their goals and wishes that gave this film the rounded impacted the industry of coaching deserves. Highly inspiring and recommended.

A wonderful insight into the transformation possible through the power of coaching. Four individuals have the flashlight of questioning, self-reflection, accountability and ultimately taking responsibility for creating a life of true fulfilment.

As a coach I was a little sceptical of what this film may show and communicate about coaching. I guess I was concerned about the authenticity and the interference of a camera crew may have on both the coaches and the coachees. I have to say that every element of this film is truly inspiring, highly skilled coaching demonstrating how coaching can unlock true human potential. The stories are powerful and authentic. The quality of the filming and production is exceptional and equal to the standard of any mainstream TV documentary with a touch of Hollywood without over stating the content. I truly hope this inspires both future coaches and others to explore and appreciate the power of coaching. Thank you The the tremendous amount of work and sharing such powerful stories. I was not expecting to feel so moved and inspired by this movie! The production itself is beautiful – very professionally executed with stunning locations. Filmed in such a way as to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat – wondering how the four individuals would progress and actively cheering them on from the side-lines. I laughed and cried and celebrated with each of them and even felt the impact of some of the coaching techniques as though I were there. As a coach myself, I don’t need to be sold the benefits of coaching, but to be allowed to experience this at such an intimate level with the 4 beautiful coaching subjects was a truly humbling experience. I am left now with a deep longing to refresh my coaching skills so that I can integrate the techniques used in the movie with my own clients. Oh yes, and…. I need to find myself a good coach!
