Miraculously, less than a year later Robson was managing the legendary FC Barcelona - motto ‘More Than A Club’. But Bobby Robson was more than a manager. Fearless, his gift was to be at his best when the worst threatened. Via the Hand of God, Gazza’s tears, England’s greatest world cup abroad to titles in Europe’s top leagues and a Barcelona treble, Robson overcame the most extreme challenges before a career like no other came full circle when he returned to ‘save’ his beloved Newcastle. Many of today’s great managers owe their rise to Robson A daring coach he could spot genius and help it grow. Starring an A list cast (Mourinho, Guardiola, Ronaldo, Gascoigne, Shearer, Lineker, Sir Alex Ferguson) never before seen archive and emotional testimony from Lady Elsie Robson, this is the definitive portrait of one of sport’s most inspirational and influential figures. To be clear Sir Bobby was my Ipswich manager growing up, this is a beautiful record of the man and the effect he had on some of the most influential people currently in football . It show a man who loved football so much, with such enthusiasm that it rubbed off on all those around him, irrespective of nationality or language as he fought cancer. You don’t have to even like football to watch this, it is such a powerful human story. The best sports documentary since Senna.

A wonderfully crafted cinematic tribute to an iconic british manager. They have put it together well and captured some fresh and new interviews from some football gods that im sure any football fan will enjoy. Its a shame they didnt include the story of Andre Villa Boas and a little more about how bobby helped Jose get into the game but then again it should and was about wor bobby!

This film is the embodiment of passion and drive. It is a representation of all the hopes and dreams of every football lover compacted into a film. The trials and tribulations of Bobby Robson not only pushes all the emotional buttons, but, it also provides the perspective of how we should live our life. That we should pursue our dreams. Never let any obsticle prevent us from our goal and most importantly, to love what we are pursing and why it brought us joy in the first place. I highly recommend this masterpiece to anyone, football enthusiest or not.

One of the best documentaries that I’ve ever seen. Sir Bobby’s legacy is laid out for all to see. Incredibly funny and devastatingly sad all at once. A must watch.

Sir Bobby now tops the list of Grandfather’s I wished I’d had. A beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. It now rivals “Up” for the ability to extract water from my face.
