Description

In 2017 the fittest athletes on Earth took on the unknown and unknowable during four of the most intense days of competition in CrossFit Games history. “The Redeemed and the Dominant: Fittest on Earth” captures all the drama as top athletes resembling chiseled Grecian gods descend on Madison, Wisconsin, to face a series of trials. Hercules faced 12; they take on 13. Emotions run high as a throng of Australian athletes rise to the top. By the end of the competition, some learn tough lessons—that all that glitters isn’t gold, or even bronze—and some learn that they’re even stronger than they realized. The best among them enter the pantheon of CrossFit giants and earn the right to call themselves the “Fittest on Earth.”

Fantastic film showing the determination required to compete.there is also acknowledgement of how not playing by the rules impacts on sport and fellow athletes 👏👏

Amazing docu as always, have watched every one of these and loved them all, this one a little less however. Although the story told of the games is greatly told, for a sport insisting their clean of drugs, they don't half go on and on and on about it! Yes a competitor got caught out and banned, should've just been a 5 minute segment, not flicking back to talking about how much they couldn't live with themselves if they took drugs or how they check everyone or whatever, and I don't know the timings but it seemed every 20-30 minutes it would go back for another 10 minute conversation about how drugs are bad! Ruined my enjoyment of the film overall. Other then that, amazing

Having seen all the “Fittest on Earth” series so far. This was another example of a well produced documentary on this sport. Just a shame we all have to wait a year for the next instalment.
