All the Money In the World

Overall a good watch. It gets a bit slow in parts as you are given some of the history of the Getty family and what it means to be a member etc. The central story of the kidnap though unravels slowly and some good twists at the end. Very well cast and acted.

I was looking forward to this film as it was a great line up and the reviews looked great however after about half an hour I was bored and it didn’t get any better. Maybe I was over optimistic but in the end this left me wanting more. I know it’s based on a true story but I just found the whole thing a bit long winded and dreary

Very enjoyable, hard to appreicate the amount of money this guy was worth, however despoite his wealth, you can see the angle in his initial response to the kidnappers. A very good film.

This is supposedly based on actual events, if so,john Paul getty, wasn't a nice person at all, but as the film goes on, he becomes more likeable but still grumpy and moody, the daughter in law, was the main character in the film, she was very believable as Getty was,they also had some great back up from the other actors, truly authentic film enjoyed it, 👏👏👏👏

Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World tasks itself with the humanism complexities and bravado of the elite, a non-easy task to humanise those who are simply not ordinary, as Scott’s picture repeatedly states, and what could easily have been mistaken to a credit of his late brothers work, Tony Scott. The weight of the film hinges on character, and it’s a delight to see unfold with the performances from Christopher Plummer, who is a walking nightmare on screen, and the enigmatic Michelle Williams. Plummer excels in cold and bleak with slight hints of humanity and possible redemption simmering through the cold iron cage of deceit. Williams puts forth a wonderful role of emotional torment, holding the film throughout on her shoulders, in a performance that delves into layers of forced induced manipulation and the complexities of conscience.
