Didn’t think it would be as good as the book, but I was surprised! It was amazing.

Possibly I am an old cynical bag who has suffered at life’s hands and I’ve felt jaded and dead for years. This movie reignited my emotions and my longing and my passions. I took my to deeply raw places and reminded me of what being truly alive was like. It is a deeply human movie, deeply moving, deeply personal. Since I first saw it I have returned to it around five or six times and each time it just gets more intricate. For me this is a masterpiece, a genuine human masterpiece.

This film is more than anything I can describe. I try to get everyone that I meet to watch it. This film still resonates with me months after watching, It’s beautiful story will stick with you forever. It comes and hooks you in, only to never let you go. Everything from the acting, cinematography, music and writing is amazing. It’s a loss not to watch it.

This is one of the best adaptations of a novel I have ever seen. Every shot, every performance, every line of dialogue is utter perfection. And while this is the love story between two men, it’s not really a gay movie at all - it’s a universal one. If you’ve ever been in love, you will get this movie. And you really don’t have a heart if you’re not broken by the father’s long speech towards the end, or the incredible last few minutes when the camera never leaves one of the faces of the characters. Call Me By Your Name is exquisite moviemaking of the very highest order. It is grown-up storytelling, with no need for silly CGI effects or mock heroics. Anyone who finds it “boring” or “switched off before the end” truly has no heart, or soul. Unmissable and unforgettable.
