Description

The magical kingdom of Lucis is home to the sacred Crystal, and the menacing empire of Niflheim is determined to steal it. King Regis of Lucis (Sean Bean) commands an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive. Wielding their king’s magic, Nyx (Aaron Paul) and his fellow soldiers fight to protect Lucis. As the overwhelming military might of the empire bears down, King Regis is faced with an impossible ultimatum – to marry his son, Prince Noctis to Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae (Lena Headey), captive of Niflheim, and surrender his lands to the empire’s rule. Although the king concedes, it becomes clear that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their devious goals, with only the Kingsglaive standing between them and world domination.

Absolutely amazing film. Must see viewing prior to the game. Makes getting Ulric's Kukris even better! :)

Poor ainimé film. Beginning is confusing and inarticulate, plot then follows a standard hackneyed "goodies get conned by baddies but still win the day" storyline and the end leaves viewers to decide what happened next. Worth avoiding.

Wow, this movie is absolutely amazing, its a CG masterpiece. Technically it looks like the whole film was rendered in vray and absolutely faultless cgi. The main cast are full of depth. I have know idea how this ties into the game but I’m off to reddit to find out all i can about this FF XV.

Although perhaps at some parts it felt as though the pacing was off, it did a good job of explaining such a complicated fantasy environment both similar and different to our own in a short space of time. I would however say this is purely a final fantasy fan film, for those who already have an interest in the franchise, particularly in XV.

The reviews that I have seen for this film on sites like IGN do not do this film justice in any way, the film is outstanding, the pacing can be little of sometimes but nothing that dose not in anyway put you off, The visuals gorgeous and I Mean gorgeous and are done so well that most of the time I forgot that I was watching CGI film, the voice acting is amazing and casts really do bring the characters to life in amazing way, nods to past Final Fantasy game are great too and how they also give us a nods to the Final Fantasy XV development too, which anyone who has followed Final Fantasy XV since 2006 will see, I think it dose help if you know something about the Final Fantasy XV but I also think the film dose great job of filling in the detail, all in all this film needs to be seen and should receive more then what it is getting, its masterpiece of cinematic history and should be noted for it, this is fantastic way of starting Final Fantasy XV and well done to all those at Square Enix for this gem and the amazing job you have done 😁

If you're a Final Fantasy fan, this is a must see! Not only are the special effects amazing, the story and characters do not disappoint. Well worth the purchase, enough to forgive Square Enix for the 2 month delay on the game!
